Stokes Newark Interior Design The design concept for Stokes in Newark was developed to embrace the essence of an industrial building, whilst providing a harmonious warm, welcoming space for all clientele versatile enough to carry over seamlessly from daytime to evening dining. After a series of consultations, and designing of concept mood boards to help with visualisation. The design drew inspiration from the colours of decaying textures and qualities found within derelict buildings such as, broken plaster, galvanised steel, and rusted metals. We agreed on creating a series of eye catching hand painted textured feature walls, working from light to dark hues to convey an authentic, aged quality. The usage of metallic paints has enriched the space with warm hues of golds and textured elements that both harmonize with the working elements of the roastery, and the furnishings adding to the aesthetic to create a visually beautiful, authentic modern warm and welcoming venue. This project has been an absolute joy to be part of, thankyou so much to the Stokes family for the trust in bringing this concept to life.
